The exhibition “Victor Horta and the Grammar of Art Nouveau” explores the fundamental themes in the work of Victor Horta, discarding the typical ornamental Art Nouveau vocabulary. The exhibition also shows the close connection between Art Nouveau and Leopold II’s Congo Free State.


This book was commissioned to accompany the exhibition of the same name at Bozar, Brussels (18.10.2023–14.01.2024) and contains lots of unpreviously published material.
